Procurement of raw materials

To prepare the medicine, you can collect and prepare the mixture yourself. It is advisable to collect the plant away from roads and railways.

The herb Ivan-tea grows almost throughout Russia; it can mainly be found on the edges of forests, along railroad tracks, and near crops. This plant is the first to begin to grow in places where forests are cleared or burned.

When making drinks, all parts of the plant are used: flowers, leaves, stems, roots. Collection of flowers and leaves must begin after the formation of seed pods. This occurs around the beginning of June and lasts until mid-August.

The roots of the plant are best collected in early spring or late autumn. At this time, the concentration of nutrients in them is maximum.

You can prepare the collection in 2 ways:

  1. Drying. It is produced using the usual method - the raw materials are poured onto fabric or newspaper and placed in a place inaccessible to sunlight. You can also tie bouquets of grass and hang them in a dark place. Drying in the sun accelerates the destruction of nutrients. Good ventilation is required, otherwise mold may form. When producing raw materials at home, you can dry the collection in the oven with the door open.
  2. Fermentation . Before drying, the herb must be rolled, rubbed in the palms of your hands, or twisted in a meat grinder. Then put it in a jar or freeze it. After 3 days, as a result of oxidation, the color and smell of the composition will change. After this, the workpiece must be dried. Due to fermentation, the beneficial properties of the plant increase, the taste and color of the brewed drink improves.

To get a healthy drink based on fireweed, you need high-quality raw materials for its preparation. After drying, the herb should be stored in a glass container with the lid closed to avoid increased humidity and mold formation.

If it is not possible to prepare the raw material yourself, you can buy it at the pharmacy: in the form of dried collection or bagged tea.

In the first case, the above-ground part of the plant is used to prepare the decoction.

In a saucepan with 300 ml of water you need to add 4 tbsp. l. unchopped leaves, flowers and stems, bring them to a boil and cook over low heat for no more than 5 minutes. Strain and drink warm. Drink fireweed tea 2-3 times a day for 14 days.

In the second case, you will need fireweed roots. 1 tbsp. l. crushed dry root, pour 500 ml of water and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat and wrap in a towel. After an hour, strain and drink 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals.

In the third, pour 40 g of the upper part of the plant into a thermos, pour 500 ml of boiling water and leave for an hour. Strain and divide into 2 portions. Drink morning and evening before meals.

Alcohol infusion

You can prepare an alcohol infusion of fireweed tea from either dry or fresh herbs.

If you use dry raw materials you will need:

  • 50 g dried flowers;
  • 250 ml alcohol.

Pour alcohol into the flowers and place in a dark place for 2 weeks. The contents must be shaken daily. After 14 days, the tincture needs to be strained.

To prepare a tincture of fresh flowers you will need:

  • half a glass of crushed flowers;
  • 250 ml of alcohol (vodka).

Pour vodka over the flowers and leave in a dark place for 2 weeks, shaking the container periodically.

At the end of the infusion, it is necessary to strain and store in a dark place.

It is necessary to take Ivan tea in alcohol for prostatitis in a diluted form. The concentration of the drink should be 1:10 with water. Drink 3 times a day before meals.
