How to take propolis products to treat prostatitis

Propolis has other names - bee glue or uz. It is a resinous substance produced by bees to seal their hives. Bee glue has found application in both folk and traditional medicine. On its basis, a large number of medicines are prepared that are used to treat diseases of various etiologies. Propolis for prostatitis reduces symptoms, but does not treat the cause. Nevertheless, beekeeping products have a strong positive effect on the male genitourinary system, so the product is successfully used to prevent the occurrence of such diseases.

Recipes

Preparations based on bee glue can be purchased at the pharmacy (candles, alcohol and oil tinctures). You can also cook them yourself. To do this, you can purchase natural raw materials from beekeepers.

Recipes with propolis for prostatitis include both oral and external use.

When preparing medicines yourself, the raw materials must first be cleared of impurities. To do this, it is frozen, then crushed on a fine grater and filled with water. After excess impurities float to the surface, you need to drain the water. You can only use the part that remains at the bottom.

Alcohol tincture

Treatment of prostatitis with propolis at home is most often carried out using an alcohol infusion. It is suitable for both internal use and for applying compresses or massages.

When using the alcoholic extract internally, you need to take 10 percent propolis. You can also purchase a ready-made product at the pharmacy.

To prepare alcohol tincture of propolis you need:

  • 500 ml of alcohol or vodka;
  • 100 grams of purified raw materials.

Mix the ingredients in a glass container and leave in a dark place for 10 days, shaking occasionally.

To use it as a compress, you need to dilute 50 ml of alcohol extract in a small amount of water, moisten the cloth and apply it to the perineum. Wrap yourself in a blanket or lie under a blanket. Keep the compress for half an hour.

Application of candles

Suppositories with propolis help to cope with the symptoms of the disease much faster, since medicinal substances enter the body in close proximity to the source of inflammation. You can buy ready-made rectal suppositories at the pharmacy or prepare them yourself; detailed information about this is here .

Propolis oil

It can be prepared with both vegetable (sea buckthorn, burdock, olive) oil and good quality butter. To do this you will need:

Oil microenemas are made from plant-based propolis oil. Inject 30 ml of the extract once a day for 30 days. In order for the product to be well absorbed into the rectal mucosa, it is necessary to maintain a certain position after administration:

  • first lying on your side for 15 minutes;
