pharmachologic effect

Many microorganisms are capable of producing beta-lactamase and are therefore resistant to most antibiotics. Due to the content of clavulanic acid in its composition, which blocks this enzyme, the effectiveness of Amoxiclav is higher than that of other drugs.

This bactericidal agent acts at the cellular level, which promotes the death of microorganisms.

Destroys most bacteria that can cause inflammation in the prostate gland:

  • streptococci;
  • enterococci;
  • staphylococci;
  • listeria;
  • chlamydia;
  • ureaplasma;
  • Klebsiella

Amoxiclav is also effective for chronic prostatitis, because infections do not develop resistance to it.

Indications

The drug is used in the treatment of various diseases of bacterial origin:

  • respiratory system and ENT organs;
  • gastrointestinal tract;
  • skin;
  • venereal infections;
  • infections of the genitourinary system.

In the treatment of inflammation of the prostate gland, the drug is effective for:

  • treatment of acute and chronic forms;
  • bacteria becoming resistant to other antibiotics;
  • exacerbation of the calculous form of the disease.
