Prostagut Forte is a herbal medicine produced by a German pharmaceutical company. Intended for the treatment of urodynamic disorders caused by inflammatory processes in the prostate gland. The drug is based on natural herbal ingredients that can cope with the symptoms of the disease.
Release form and composition
The product is available in two types: tablets and drops.
Prostagut forte tablets are produced in the form of oval gelatin capsules, green in color. They contain an oily liquid from light brown to dark brown color with a specific odor.
Prostagut forte contains natural herbal ingredients.
The active ingredients of the product per capsule are concentrated extracts:
- Sabal palm fruit – 160 mg. Solvent – alcohol 90%;
- nettle roots – 120 mg. Solvent – alcohol 60%.
The following additional components are used: triglycerides, colloidal solution of silicon dioxide, soybean oil that has undergone a hydrogenation process.
Available in blisters of 20 pieces. Prostagut forte capsules are available for sale in packs of 60 and 120 pcs.
The drops contain the same active substances in the following ratio:
- palm fruit extract – 80 mg;
- nettle root extract – 60 mg.
Sold in darkened bottles of 50 and 100 ml.
The medicine can be stored for 3 years at a temperature not exceeding +25 °C.

The medicine Prostagut Forte is used to relieve symptoms of prostatitis and prostate adenoma.
The combined composition of the product has an anti-inflammatory and decongestant effect, resulting in pain relief.
The active substances suppress the activity of dihydrotestosterone and estradiol, which helps suppress tumor growth.
As a result of treatment with the drug, most symptoms of the disease are relieved:
- swelling of the prostate decreases;
- urodynamics are restored;
- discomfort when urinating decreases;
- the condition of blood vessels improves, their permeability decreases;
- the urge to urinate decreases.
Indications
The drug is prescribed for the treatment of prostate diseases and other pathologies of the male genitourinary system:
- impaired urination caused by prostatitis or prostate adenoma of 1st and 2nd degrees;
- to prevent recurrence of prostate adenoma after surgery.
Contraindications
Due to the fact that the drug consists of herbal components, side effects when taking it are minimized. If there is increased sensitivity to the components, allergic reactions may occur. Side effects may occur after taking the medicine on an empty stomach:
- nausea;
- vomit;
- stomach discomfort;
- heartburn.
Instructions for use
Instructions for use Prostagut forte recommends taking 1 capsule 2 times a day. The tablet must not be chewed, it must be swallowed whole with water. Duration of treatment is 30 days.
In acute forms of the disease, accompanied by severe pain, the doctor may double the dosage.
Drops need to be taken three times a day, 20-40 drops.
The drug is compatible with other medications. The compatibility of the drug with alcohol has not been proven. However, using any medicine simultaneously with alcohol can cause complications. Even a single dose of alcohol during treatment with Prostagut Forte can reduce the effectiveness of the medicine and increase the risk of allergic reactions.
